It was her hair, I think. Well, when I say "I think," that actually means "I know." I'm shifty, you see--or you will see, in more ways than one. I hate being tied down and stuck with an answer, because sometimes things change, you know? Really, it's just because the first thing I saw of her was her shining golden hair. Then again, I didn't really /see/ anything. It was more of a glimpse. I had been running, running as fast as my feet could take me away from my house, away from my town, away from my life. And then, there, a tiny sparkle through the trees, caught in the corner of my eye.
